Hello Folk's,

my Dodge Brother Frank is organizing at his B-Day an small MV Camp & BBQ Event on next Friday (22.05.-23.05.) nearby Frankfurt (G) and has now a "Promo-Trailer" with his Dodge online at youtube. Also shown is his Mercedes truck (ex. Ambo).

Actually we have a group of the "usual" WW2 J**p's, an GMC CCKW, some Dodge WC's, a BW Munga, a BW KAT truck and other MV in place and are planning a convoy to the "Schloss Kransberg".
That's an former "Fuehrerhauptquartier" - code name "Adlerhorst". After WW2 it was used by the British Forces as an interrogation center (nickname: Camp Dustbin) and then by the US Army and the German Forces. Since 1990 is the castle in private ownership.

So the idea is to make some pictures with the WW2 MV up there, have a beer together at the restaurant next to the castle with a nice scenic view and then to return to our camp for the BBQ part.

International Huertgen Forest March (Der internationale Hürtgenwaldmarsch/IHM) with commemoration at the Church of Vossenack, D-52393 Hürtgenwald Community of Vossenack (G).
The IHM already has a tradition of more than 25 years. In order to foster international understanding, the IHM is held in remembrance of one of the costliest battles of World War II – the so-called "All Souls' Day Battle" from November 1944 to February 1945.
Today, women and men, civilians and soldiers, veterans of all nations and their grandchildren march side by side during the International Huertgen Forest March (IHM). This is international understanding in action and may be a historic lesson. In remembrance of the horror of war, they all meet in the idyllic autumn forests, protesting together in silence against a German reign of terror which has been defeated – hopefully for ever.
The organizer of this commemorative march is the Land Command North Rhine-Westphalia (Landeskommando NRW) in cooperation with the local Hürtgenwald Reservist Association and the Aachen district group of the Bundeswehr Reserve Association.

15. Klassikertreffen an den Opelvillen. Rüsselsheim (G)
The GM company Opel and the City of Rüsselsheim are organizing this year the 15th edition of one of the largest vintage car Events in the State of Hesse. In the Park of the former Opel family Villas, located on the riverbanks of the River Main up to 2,500 classic cars from all decades and manufacturers will show up at this relaxed picknick-style Sunday Event. The gates open at 10.00 a.m. Recommendation: be there in time!

B-24 "Battlin' Baby" Gedenkfeier (Commemoration) at CH-3315 Bätterkinden (CH)
Commemoration for the Crew of the B-24 Liberator "Battlin' Baby" that crashed in the end of WW2 at Bätterkinden.
A new memorial will be handed over to the public at 10.30 h., vetrerans and relatives of the Crew will be in place as well as a honor guard and officials from several organisations. In addition there will be the Trumpet Section of the History Swinger Band in place.
A special highlight is then the fly by of several vintage Aircraft and the "Missing Man Formation" presented by the CAF-Swiss Wing + a parachuters jump in WW2 Uniforms. There will be a special parking area for MV and all MV owners are welcome to join the commemoration organized by the private B-17 Museum Utzenstorf.

The Event at Linden is open to all types of MV of all decades ("except aircraft and ships"). Convoy driving on Sat. and spare parts flea market on Sun. Please contact the organisators in advance if you want to show up at the Event. 10,- Fee per MV.

3rd issue of the US Camp at the Parc Pater at Soignies, organized by the New Easy Company. Open for all MV from 1940-45.
The Camp opens at 14.00 h on the 18th. Sun. at 10.00 h start of the MV parade to the town center.
